"http://groups.ebay.com/photo/Fake-Gothic-Crown/1616594633. A lack of detail is evident in the crown and hair areas that should exist per authentic examples at this apparent grade level.Take note of the slightly off-center stop at the very center of the design. It is done this way so forger's will know, in an instant, that this item is a forgery no matter how hard another deceiver attempts to deceive the forger. Forger's never want to be fooled by their own work as it means they figuratively have to return to the drawing board! Looking for inconsistencies that can only exist in the die is one of the best ways to detect a forgery when presented with what appears to be a very good example." |
